Micheal A. Mulloy

Founder

Micheal A. Mulloy is the founder of Mulloy Law, PLLC.  Micheal was admitted to the North Dakota Bar in 2012.  He is licensed to practice in all North Dakota state courts, including the North Dakota Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota.  Micheal focuses his practice in the areas of family law, land transactions, zoning disputes, real estate litigation, contracts, estate planning, and probate.

 

In 2012, Micheal graduated in the top 15% of his class at the University of Kansas School of Law with his juris doctor.  During his time at Kansas, Micheal was a semi-finalist in KU’s in-house moot court competition.  He later competed at the National First Amendment Moot Court Competition at Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, Tennessee.  Micheal also clerked for the Honorable Michael J. Malone (retired) of the Seventh Judicial District of Kansas, was active in the Student Bar Association, received the CALI award for Excellence in Local Government Law, and completed all requirements for KU’s Advocacy Certificate Program.  In 2008, Micheal graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Mary with a B.S. in Social and Behavioral Sciences with a minor in Political Science.  While at the University of Mary, Micheal was active in student government and interned with U.S. Senator Kent Conrad.

 

Micheal is a member of the North Dakota State Bar Association, the Big Muddy Bar Association, the Family Law and Real Property and Probate Sections to State Bar Association of North Dakota, the Guardianship Association of North Dakota, and the Western Dakota Estate Planning Council. Micheal has been named to the Super Lawyers Great Plains Rising Stars list every year from 2015 through 2023, a distinction earned by only 2.5 percent of attorneys in North Dakota. 

 

Micheal has received numerous awards including the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys Top 10 Under 40 for Excellence in the Field of Family Law (2014), and the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys 10 Best Under 40 for Client Satisfaction (2014) and 10 Best for Client Satisfaction (2016).  In 2017, Micheal was named to the Bismarck Tribune’s 20 Under 40 publication, recognizing achievements in his profession and community before 40 years of age.

Micheal hails from Keystone, South Dakota and made his way to Bismarck shortly after graduating from Hill City High School in Hill City, South Dakota.  Micheal’s hobbies include tennis, spending time with friends, family and his labs, Piper and Clinton, and staying current on political happenings across the state and nation.
